The American Flag

The American flag has its very own homepage?  Hell yes it does!  Where else are you supposed to stock up on patriotic animated gifs?  I came across this website because it it houses an extensive collection of patriotic poetry and music (more on that later), but couldn’t even get past the welcome screen without a laugh when I was prompted to choose my browser:

Web TV has been my browser of choice for years.

I checked out all three sites (they are actually different), and the Netscape version wins hands down with the synthesized patriotic medly playing in the background.

This website is gigantic, and full of great information.  Check out this nugget of wisdom I picked up from the FAQ page:

When at camp, should girls remove their hats/caps along with the boys during the Pledge of Allegiance?

Yes, they should.

I knew it.  This summer I’m totally calling out all the chicks at camp for their lack of patriotism.

Do yourself a favor and check out these HOT LINKS to really experience this masterpiece:

  • Patriotic Poetry: Each poem’s page plays its own background music!
  • If you’re loving these classic midi tracks, you’ve got to check out the music page, where you can have it all, plus lyrics!
  • Bored?  Boredom will become a thing of the past with all these great American flag activities!

Feel like an American yet?  Me too.
